FPL Ambassador Sliding Door Lock – Patio

About this product:

The Ambassador patio sliding door lock features a European half cylinder, thumbturn, and the 558-50 mortise mechanism. The mechanism is retracted by a thumbturn on the inside. The Ambassador style is also available in the keyed (locks/unlocks with a key on the outside and a thumbturn on the inside) and dummy (used on the inactive door when two sliding doors meet in the middle) functions. These items are listed separately.

  • To open, press down on lever to disengage mechanism from strike, then use lever as a pull to slide your door open
  • To close, with the sliding door closed, locking the profile cylinder secures the door by keeping the lever from operating
